On The HLP App, your safety and happiness is our priority. Your independence and your voice are valued, and we want to encourage you to use them. We also encourage you to use them responsibly.
When using the App, please comply with the following Community Rules:
1. Be Kind and Courteous
It’s up to all of us to create welcoming Community environment, so let's treat everyone with respect. Debates and disagreements are natural, but it’s important to remain kind and respectful of one another.
2. No Hate Speech or Bullying
The HLP App is a welcoming environment and inclusive space. Bullying, harassment, discrimination or abuse of any kind is not allowed. Disparaging comments about things like race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender, or identity will not be tolerated.
3. No Advertising Promotions or Spam
Self-promotion, business promotion, phishing, spam, and irrelevant links aren't allowed. This is to encourage you to bring your authentic self to the community.
4. Respect Everyone's Privacy
Whilst using the app, we strongly encourage you to stay anonymous. This is to help protect you and your personal information. No one at HLP will ask you to provide your details to them.
We want to create an atmosphere of mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make communities great, but users must also be sensitive and respect privacy.
5. Respect Everyone’s Creativity
This includes intellectual property rights (such as copyright and trade marks).
Before sharing any content in the Community, please make sure you have all licences, rights and permissions to do so.
Just because content appears on the internet, doesn’t mean it is free for you to use without permission.
6. Keep to the point
Keep things relevant! Help people navigate by sticking to the community group topic.
Constructive feedback and suggestions for new app features should be placed in the “Your App” group.
Likewise, feedback or advice regarding the psychiatry service should be sent to patient services, which you can find here.
7. This is not a replacement for medical advice
Nothing in the Community space or that we produce or say is designed to replace medical advice. Do not delay seeing a doctor or getting qualified medical help if you need it.
The HLP App is committed to sourcing clinically backed information from trusted sources.
Because the community is an open forum, we can’t be in control of what information is being shared on it all of the time, so can’t be held responsible for anything that happens as a result of implementing any advice, or accessing any information shared on the app.
This is peer support, and not professional support.
With this in mind, please do not deliberately spread misinformation with intent to mislead or harm.
Avoid diagnosing other people or giving advice about medication; what works for you may not work for others.
8. Keeping the Community safe
In order to ensure the safety of Community and that the Rules are observed we may remove any material which we deem to be in breach of these Community Rules and, in extreme cases, we may suspend a user or remove them from the app.
We have measures in place to help you if you’re experiencing harm or abuse of any kind, as well as a statutory requirement to promote your safety, and the safety of others. Because of this, we will always take appropriate action.
Thanks for watching this video, and take care.
