French funk duo Souleance have comprehensively and successfully countered our end of summer blues with their new groove 'Out of Touch', featuring the unmistakable talents of Franco-Turkish outfit Kit Sebastian.
Beautifully tight and textured drums punctuate this disco-inspired belter, with Merve Erdem’s heavenly vocals keeping you utterly locked in throughout. The production on 'Out of Touch' really is pitch perfect; Kit Sebastian’s traditional Turkish influences come in the form of bağlama samples which combine with warm French electro synths to make for a really contagious summer track. Running through all of this is an absolute bop of a bassline, that would challenge the most stoic amongst us to get up and move.
Towards the end, the versatile mix of funk and pop melodies are stripped away and the track shifts into a more percussive house number which has “extended dance mix” written all over it. The mark of excellence of any dance hit is feeling like you already know it intimately, and we think you’ll be getting to know this one an awful lot more.
